As a teacher I am comfortable guiding fifth graders through simplifying fractions, decoding the mysteries of root words, prefixes, and suffixes, and fine- tuning grammar skills.  I can whip up a creative bylletin board, referee a recess squabble, and solve the crisis of a missing lunch.  However I also know when it's time to research or ask for help.

Melissa Schauer represented my family as our listing agent in the fall of 2004.  I am pleased to say that for the first time in four homes we were able to sell the property before needing to turn the house over to my employer.

Melissa listened very closely early in our realtionship as to how we wanted to approach the selling process.  She understood quickly that I did not want to outlay a lot of cash to prepare the house.  She spent alot of time trying to develop ideas and give suggestions on inexpensive ways to make the house standout.  All the while she also made sure I understood some of the areas that could use attention and assist in the selling process.  To validate her opinion she brought other realtors  in asked them to give an independent assessment.

One keen observations was her early recommendation to replace the fence.  In hindsight this was obvious.  We had a relatively new and quite attractive built-in pool surrounded by a 9 year old wooden fence that was at the end of it useful life.  It took quite a bit of gentle prodding from Melissa to make me realize the need to make this purchase.  Within a month of a new fence we received and accepted an attractive offer.  The couple was at the end of a weekend house-hunting trip and was about to make another offer when they decided to look at one more property.  Our house was of equal interest but the new fence mad the difference.

If you want a listing agent who will take ownership for trying to get your property sold then I would definitely recommend Melissa Schauer.

I would like to take time to write my gratitude of how much help Melissa Schauer was to my Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move from CA to TX.  During this transition I was required to find a place to live in Texas due to the Military stationing myself in Ft Worth, TX.  Through some lines of Military personnel I was directed to speak to Melissa Schauer who performed a phenomenal job in helping my famly and I find a beautiful, affordable home with no hassles.  As a first time home buyer I had no clue of what needed to be done and how to start the process.  Melissa with her expertise, quickly and eaisly set it up without any stress or confusion of what needed to be done.
